Supporting local farmers, suppliers and businesses is a big part of the culture and community spirit in Cairns. We’re so lucky to come from a region that boasts so much delicious local produce, and we love sharing it with our guests. 

With bounties of colourful tropical fruit and veg, access to the freshest seafood, and the abundant Atherton Tablelands – lovingly known as “The Food Bowl of Far North Queensland” – right on our doorstep, foodies from the world over visit Cairns just to experience all the amazing food this region has to offer. 

At Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort, we’re dedicated to supporting local farmers and suppliers, and we’re proud to showcase many of their fine fares on our restaurant menus. Our talented chefs source the best and freshest local ingredients all year round, and transform them into delicious dishes for our guests to enjoy.

Whether you’re satisfying a sweet tooth or trying to be a little more health conscious, the Moku Granola will tick all the boxes and give you a taste of some great local produce. Our house made granola features organic natural yoghurt from nearby Mungalli Creek Dairy, as well as decadent honeycomb from Honey House Kuranda, topped with fresh local berries and a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar. 


After a long, hot day in the Tropical North Queensland sunshine, there’s nothing quite like the first refreshing sip of an ice-cold beer – and Barrier Reef Brewing Co. are our go-to guys when it comes to the best local brews. Come and enjoy a tall, frosty one at Moku Bar & Grill.


Paired with a few glasses of wine, our popular cheese board is ideal for lazy long lunches or as a pre-dinner share plate. Featuring a trio of divine locally made cheeses from Gallo Dairy Land, dried fruit, quince paste and house made lavosh, this dish is sure to hit the spot.


Who doesn’t love a traditional eggs and bacon brekky? Or maybe you’re more of the Eggs Benny type? Whatever you prefer, you can enjoy both for breakfast at Novotel Cairns Oasis, with the peace of mind that our free-range eggs are sustainably and ethically sourced from the happy hens at Sunny Queen Farms. You can also enjoy your free-range eggs with a side of roasted cherry tomatoes, grown in the Atherton Tablelands.


Whether you’re pouring it over your cereal, into your tea and coffee, or our baristas are steaming it up for your morning cappuccino, we’re proud to support our local Dairy Farmers and bring their fresh milk daily to all of our guests.


Almost all of our fresh fruits and vegetables are sourced from various farmers in the Atherton Tablelands and surrounding regions. From our summery selection of exotic tropical fruits, to our fresh island-inspired salads, to our winter warming smoked root vegetables, our chefs always source the ripest, sweetest, and juiciest local produce, and continually craft our menus to highlight what’s in season.
