Novotel Cairns Oasis is situated amidst the lush tropical rainforests of Yidinjdji Country, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the region. The resort is committed to preserving this unique ecosystem through sustainable practices.

Skip the Clean

With Skip the Clean, you can opt out of daily housekeeping for your room for stays of more than 2 nights. By reducing the frequency of cleaning and changing towels and sheets, you help minimize our environmental impact by :

Saving up to 60 litres of water per day – equivalent to 6,500 showers per year.
Reducing consumption of energy and cleaning products.

To thank you, ALL will credit your account with 100 Reward points for each day you choose to Skip the Clean.

How does it work?

Join ALL – You have until the end of your stay to become a member of the ALL loyalty programme – it’s free to join.
Opt out of the housekeeping service – By hanging the Skip the Clean sign on your door in the morning (Some hotels offer the option to indicate this choice online).
Earn points – You receive 100 Reward points for each day you choose Skip the Clean (except on days when housekeeping is mandatory).

T&Cs apply – Your room is cleaned by our team at least once every 3 days. For security reasons, hotel staff may need to enter your room. They will always announce themselves beforehand. Sustainable Practices

Novotel Cairns Oasis is dedicated to minimising its environmental footprint. We reduce waste through recycling and, in the future, composting programs, and we use energy-efficient technologies to conserve resources. Each room features dual-purpose bins to support general waste and recycling, making it easy for guests to reduce their environmental impact during their stay.

Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort proudly holds Ecotourism Australia’s Sustainable Tourism Certification, distinguishing us as the first resort in North Queensland to achieve this prestigious recognition. This certification reflects our resort’s commitment to international best-practice sustainability standards across environmental, social, cultural, and sustainable management pillars. In addition to this achievement, our resort was awarded Gold in the 4–4.5 Star Deluxe Accommodation category at the 2024 Queensland Tourism Awards, and subsequently earned Bronze at the 2024 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, highlighting our excellence in guest experience and sustainable hospitality.
